SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Looking at the children, all four of them, staring at her with expressions that screamed ‘FAMISHED’ in bold capital letter, Shristi realised that she needed to do something, and that too in double quick time if she were to avoid risking to wake up the entire neighbourhood.
Getting her ‘Big Girl’ act together, she first thought about the options at her disposal as the situation was now highly critical and mere candy, however colourful and delectable they may be would no longer suffice.
As she bit her lips and as her teeth rattled faster than a grater, the sister to the four pre-teen broods suddenly had a brainwave.
Rushing into the kitchen she ransacked the fridge and found what she was looking for!
“Hey boys, what would you like to have__ exotic Goan fish curry with steaming rice, or plain old roti with yesterday’s ladies finger topped with a bottle of milk?
She needn’t have waited for the answer as the kids’ mouths opened to form a perfect GOaaaa…”
