SOME COMPANY

By Neel Anil Panicker

A solitary life  is what she craved for.
At 40, Lata landed a fortune after a distant Uncle  died at age 90 and bequeathed his bungalow to her.

She sold it, and packed her sole possessions into a bag to head to the hills.

A remote cottage overlooking the snow capped mountains: her dream destination.
It was when she spotted her, a thinly little puppy, barely a month old.

The little one sat forlorn outside the park gates.
She looked into her dreamy eyes.

Voila! She fell in love.

Humans she didn’t like.
But who could say no to Spoofy.

  1. Dear Neel,

I certainly couldn’t say no to Spoofy. 😉 I’ve been wanting a dog but there are so many reasons we are not ready for pet ownership right now. Sigh.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle
