One of these days…

By Neel Anil Panicker

One of these days you will come to know that it wasn’t me who ditched you

Is it my fault that time_ the biggest villain of all_ played its ugly game?

that I played my part and held you close to my heart all the same

One of these days you will come to know that it wasn’t me who ditched you

that my love was the not the morning train that leaves you with a lot of pain

that life is a horrendous bitch; a vile witch that leaves you in a mighty stitch

One of these days you will come to know that it wasn’t me who ditched you

Is it my fault that time_ the biggest villain of all_ played its ugly game?

By Neel Anil Panicker
When winters peep in, your love just seeps in
Cold rooms turn warm when you turn on the heat
weather turns frosty and eyes turn misty
When winters peep in, your love just seeps in
Gazing through the maze, forever in a daze
icy skies above never failing to amaze
When winters peep in, your love just seeps in
Cold rooms turn warm when you turn on the heat.

THE DIRTY POLITICS

By Neel Anil Panicker

Small men high on power and low on intelligence

Sorry slaves of their egos and masters to none.

Strive hard to be cool but end up as big, fat fools

Small men high on power and low on intelligence

Unknown are they to the virtues of silence

Ever ready to unleash mindless violence                        Small men high on power and low on intelligence

Sorry slaves of their egos and masters to none.

Five Words: [ GONE – SENSE – TRACE – VOICE – PATH ]

By Neel Anil Panicker

Ask me what happens when your love is gone

Does it make sense who is there and who has flown?

the world is the same and so are you and so is your path

Ask me what happens when your love is gone

when someone leaves without a trace

suddenly slows down life’s lively pace

Ask me what happens when your love is gone

Does it make sense who is there and who has flown?

A FEW GOOD MEN
By Neel Anil Panicker

They never hurt who have known hurt
Of such hearts are good men born
kindness and forgiveness are their calling cards
They never hurt who have known hurt
hearts ever full of empathy and unconditional love
choosing not to be a hateful hawk but a divine dove
They never hurt who have known hurt
Of such hearts are good men born.

Wish I could recall time when things were all fine
When we would count the nightly stars.
you, swaying in my arms, I, mesmerised by your charms
Wish I could go recall time when things were all fine
I would want you to back in Earth with me
Though I know you are there in Heaven with Him
Wish I could recall time when things were all fine
When we would count the nightly stars.

Silly were those days when love was in the air
When your eyes had dare and my words had flair
mementoes are they to hearts long swept away
Silly were those days, when love was in the air
silent were the talks and ephemeral those long walks
endless were the raindrops that ran down her cheeks
Silly were those days, when love was in the air
When your eyes had dare and my words had flair
