TWO LEFT FEET
By Neel Anil Panicker
“He’s faking it. Watch his legs. Watch how they move”, declared Detective Chacko as he pointed a finger towards the computer screen.
His deputy, Vikram lowered himself into the chair; the two watched intently at a group of well dressed couples.
The venue was the The Courtyard, Hotel Grand.
A gold emblazoned board at its entrance read: Engagement of Priya Singh with Rahul Rastogi.
“His profile says he’s a trained salsa dancer. Those clumsy movements say he’s an imposter”.
“So what?”, shot back Chacko.
“This man’s a fake; a gold digger. I smell crime with a capital C”.
