“He’s faking it. Watch his legs. Watch how they move”, declared Detective Chacko as he  pointed a finger towards the computer screen.

His deputy, Vikram lowered himself into the chair; the two watched intently at a group of well dressed couples.

The venue was the The Courtyard, Hotel Grand.

A gold emblazoned board at its entrance read:  Engagement of Priya Singh with Rahul Rastogi.

“His profile says he’s a trained salsa dancer. Those clumsy movements say he’s an imposter”.


“So what?”, shot back Chacko.
“This man’s a fake; a gold digger. I smell  crime with a capital C”.
