Did That Just Happen!

By Neel Anil Panicker

Watching on television kids her age frolicking in the snow, throwing around mounds of white balls, Lily would shriek out in rapturous wide eyed joy.

‘Papa snow…papa snow…show me real snow’.

Her dad had given up hope, wondering how on earth would be fulfill his six year old’s wish.

“Just tell her it’s not possible. Tell her we live in a desert. Only sun, all twelve months, ” reprimanded his wife.

Just then it rained; soon after, it began to snow…huge, angelic white balls.

‘Thank God”, he exclaimed.

As Lily rushed out to the frontyard, her mother volleyed, “Thank global warming”.

  3. Dear Neel,

At least Lily will be happy. I would almost enjoy some snow right now myself. 😉

    Shalom,
