Goodbye To All That

By Neel Anil Panicker

Hogging on myriad gastronomic delicacies, shooting multihued darts, yo yoing sky high  carousels—lovong and living under the bright arclights of oh so cool summer evenings.
Ah! was childhood a dream, or did I really live it, so wondered twenty year Gracy as she allowed herself one last go at what was to be an end to a until now footloose and fancy  free life.

Come morn, she was to bid goodbye to all that and get married to a man who her mother deemed fit enough for her, a not so young upstart whose only claim to fame was that he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, even though he possessed the vilest of hearts.
