OLD ORDER CHANGETH
By Neel Anil Panicker
“The past is no longer the magnet it was. Seems the plebians are taking the call for change a bit too literally”, remarked Joseph to his golf partner as the duo watched a group of workers dismantle yet another city square statue.
“Any idea who the chap was?”, asked Oscar as he reached for his evening poison at the Royal Bar, the favoured watering hole of the upper crust of Kolkata society.
“Guess he was a battle hardened highly decorated war general for whom victory was second nature.”
“He’s lost the war, though, ” said
Joseph as he wetted his lips.
