three line tales, week 199: a pig swimming in the ocean

NEVER A DULL DAY IN POLITICS

By Neel Anil Panicker.

(An imaginary conversation between an Uncle and his once obedient nephew. Any resemblance to person/s dead or alive is not purely coincidental but fully intentional)

“I know your name means the undefeated, but at least you should have waited for the winds to change; consulted me at least before sucking up to that chaiwallah and his despicable fatso, you ungrateful pig!.”

“I’m sorry Uncle if I have offended you, but let me remind you that whatever ungratefulness I have is all learnt from you. Besides, weren’t you the one, dear Uncle, who taught me that in politics as is in life, the toes you step on today could very well be attached to the asses you need to kiss tomorrow. Also, as far as pigs go, thanks to the special grounding I have had at your feet, shouldn’t you feel proud that at last this ungrateful lineage of yours has learnt to swim, and that too, match breaststrokes with the sharks.”
