HIDE ‘N’ SEEK

By Neel Anil Panicker

“Do you see what I see,” asked Aarav as he guided Jaanvi, his college mate, the girl he had been seeing for the past two weeks, the one who had been bowled over by his rugged looks and dimpled cheek and quick silver charm  to have readily agreed for an out of town rendezvous to the forest.

Jaanvi, now comfortably enconsed in Aarav’s lap, sipped into the bottle of Coke that the two were sharing before replying, “Yeah, it’s cool; I mean look at it___an abandoned arched stony pathway in the middle of dense forested area with walls  walls painted with heart signs and lovers’ jottings___it’s wildly romantic, isn’t it?”

In answer, Aaarav’s hands slipped down her top as the as the evening rays slipped through the pine leaves yonder and made love to the frosted glassed roofs above.
