Photo Challenge #279

“Hey look, look what’s there,” shrieked out little Vikki as he looked out of the window.

Two pairs of eyes followed the trajectory of his raised fingers as they stabbed the early morning sky.

“OMG! I can’t believe it…It’s the…”

“It’s the Aliens,” blurted out Nirav even as Inder turned tongue tied.

“Aliens?”, exploded Vikki, “why would Aliens come to Earth? And that too in our school?”

The three ninth standard students turned around and this time facing one another another mulled over the question that hung above their heads like a mega sized Mathematics equation that they didn’t understand any head or tail of.

Nirav, the seemingly more intelligent  among the three hostellers,  was the first to break the silence as he proffered, “Friends, look from what I see and understand, it’s a vehicle no doubt, and its shape and size and especially, those strange multi-coloured psychedelic lights that it’s emitting, plus, the fact that it has those strange looking antennae pointing upwards suggest that this is no man made creation; it’s come from Space. Also,…”

Vikki, by now quite excited, impatiently interjected, “Ok guys, let’s step out and see the thing from close”.

Even before the others could react to that, Vikki dashed out of the dorm.
The other two had no choice but follow suit.

And that instant, the bell rang and Vikki awoke.

As he rubbed his eyes in disbelief, all he could make out was the silhouette of the stentonarian warden, Mr Isaac Thomas, he of the  ferocious handle bar moustache and blood red eyes, walking towards him in a menacing manner.

Alas! how quickly dreams go bust.
