BIRD SPOTTING

“See that lone white car, at the zebra intersection”
“Hmm…”
“That’s him,” the middle aged man whispered from behind the bushes.
Inspector Vikram Saluja lowered his binoculars and looked sideways at his informer.
“But that’s a Dzire. Isn’t it known that our man drives only Mercs?”
It was the informer turn to look quizzical.
“Sir, you are right. Your quary drives only a Mercedes. But Sir, today he’s not driving; he’s being driven”.
Even before the cop could react to that repartee, his informer tapped him on the shoulder.
Vikram looked through the lens; the Don of Delhi had arrived.
