WRITTEN FOR FRIDAY FICTIONEERS

THE HOUSE READER
By Neel Anil Panicker
“So, Mr House Reader, what do you say?”.
‘Well, heart says yes, head says no.’
“Hmm….that’s a new one. Care to elaborate, my lordship”.
‘You see this one’s a mixed bag. It’s modern no doubt, the air-conditioner, the patterned staircase, the coloured shingles all scream a richly sophistication. Though, the metronomically arranged cutesy flower pots and a splash of blue shows the inhabitants are still yolked to their past. Nouveau riche, yet clinging to an old world charm, plus with a lot of wealth, plausibly all invested in land.’
“So?”
‘So, not so bad for a one time steal.’

nice reading. at the end of the day, however, the main selling point of a property will always be its location.

A very different but good story and well written, Neel. I doubt anyone would look at my flat and want to rob it. I also don’t go around wearing expensive jewelry. That’s begging for theft. 🙂 — Suzanne

Well, you know, robbers can’t just go about willy-nilly robbing any house. There must be some research first…
