ALL BOMBED OUT
By Neel Anil Panicker
Life’s gone down south. Life’s turned helter skelter. From soaring hit to pit shit: Wanna poof?
Here, check this__this bombed out structure. The house grandfather built; the house that I was born in. Until last night ‘was home
Today, it’s gone. Gone’s also all who dwelled here.
All that remains is me and this wall. This bombed out wall that’s more like the Devil with two huge craters for eyes. All day long I stare through them like a crazy zombie at the emptied out street ahead, at the barren land beyond, at what my hellish life has turned into.
And then I cry; but the tears, they refuse to oblige.
