Love, today you may not be my love

But remember, once you were my love

Love, today you may be someone else’s love

But love, remember once you were my love

And love, for me you are still my love today

Though for you I was your love yesterday.

She’s my perennial well of love
Into which I dip all sorrows
Emerge I ___cleansed, quenched, and filled
Leaving her parched, sapped off all vigour.
Love is not a zero sum game
Here there are no winners and no losers.

Mind’s a turnstile
Drumming away inane thoughts
Pricking long deadened memories
Rebirthing emotions long orphaned
Unable to fight karma
I finally lose all battle
succumbing to fate’s inexorable tidings
