Three Line Tales, Week 136
FOWC with Fandango — Balance
A ROUGH TURN
By Neel Anil Panicker
All her life Sneha had breathed the sobriquet ‘18 till I die’; but now as she stared into the dawn of her fortieth birthday, she found herself hurtling down life’s uneven terrains, her wobbly feet vainly trying to balance itself against its rocky edges.
She began to pontificate if anything captivated her anymore; began to wonder if her entire activity filled ambition driven life had been one big sham, a nuisance .
And with that realization began to appear cracks in an otherwise rock solid sangfroid self.
She knew she had reached the edge, that there was no turning back.
