THE ABYSS (genre/realistic fiction)

His is a nihilist’s indulgence. An ode to a life gone horribly wrong.
Can he ever right it? Undo all the wrongs? Wake up from his lethal drug-cum-alcohol-cum-sex-cum rock ‘n’ roll slumber? Get his tottering life back on the rails?
He swipes away the tears, the dirt and the grime that ooze out of every body pore.
It’s an effort in vain.
The world, his God forsaken world, from where he views it, stark naked and on all fours on the spartan floors, covered in an assortment of liquids and semi-liquids, is still a maze.
His gaze falters; sleep beckons.

You describe the addict’s surroundings and mental state very graphically. He’s a man who needs help fast.

A desperate being in the gutter of his own making. Very well described.

Dear Neel,
You’ve described the day in the life of an addict very well. Gritty, disgusting and tragic. Well done.
