‘Mr Sreesanth, now that the courts have said you’re innocent would you demand compensation? Would you…?’
“Look, I’ve come here to practice. Let the law take its own course.”
Two hours later, as he sat down on the bench, sweat dripping out of every pore, he pondered over the judgement.
‘True, the courts had ruled in his favour. Said the charges against him were false. But how could they compensate him, or anybody for that matter, for losing out on the best years of one’s professional career? Let the law…No, he would be the law and now he’d dispense justice’.
