For Aisha, the current heartbreak couldn’t have come at a worse time.
Coming close on the heels of her mother finally succumbing to lung cancer, and the earth shattering revelation that she may soon be saddled with a couple of step brothers, Inder’s decoupling from her life turned out to be final straw.
It sent her careening towards the sea.
She stood, transfixed like a stone, slowly inching her way deeper into the waters, her tear laden eyes, a fierce sharp edged knife mercilessly slicing the raucous waves.
This time she wouldn’t turn her back when the riptide struck.
