NO LUCK TONIGHT  (99 words)

‘Sir, I’m extremely sorry, today we won’t be able to serve you Peppy Paneer Pizza’.

Christopher couldn’t believe his ears.

“Won’t be able to serve…what bullshit is this?”

A volley of profuse apologies soon met their match in a fusillade of unprintable abuses.

“Sir, instead, I recommend you try our in-house specialty ‘Chicken Supreme’. You’ll simply love it’s lip smacking medley of pepperoni, keema, meat balls and sausage.”

Christopher banged his fists on the table, glared at the hapless waiter one last time, and stomped out through the front door muttering to himself, “no Peppy Paneer, no murder tonight.”

    • Yes, he is a creature of habit; needs his fix before every killing. Peppy Paneer pizza is specific to the Indian sub continent and the paneer in it is unaged, acid-set, non-melting farmer cheese or curd cheese made by curdling heated milk with lemon juice, vinegar, or any other food acids. The pizza base is peppered with paneer laced with spices to give the pizza a tangy spicy feel to it. A huge hit amongst quite a lot of Indians.

“A volley of profuse apologies soon met their match in a fusillade of unprintable abuses.” That’s a great line. Nice take on the prompt.
