HOUSE OF MEMORIES (100 words)
By Neel Anil Panicker
It may be five years since Anjali, succumbed to cancer but for Raghav she is as alive as the morning sun that unfailingly lights up the cobbled pathways to his roadside shop abutting Highway 24, off Mount Abu.
As the septuagenarian raises the aluminium shutters of ‘House of Memories’, he feels a sudden stab of pain shoot through his chest. In no time his legs give way and he collapses, his palpitating thin frame crashing onto the sliding main doors.
As the last breaths empty out, he cries out, ‘Dear Anju, ‘am coming to create some more Kodak moments with you’.
